For MSA60/70 with two I/O modules, dual domain is supported via two SAS cables attached to a compatible HP SmartArray such as the P800.
With a single MSA RAID array that contains two I/O modules, the proper wiring is to connect both SAS cables from the P800 SmartArray card to both I/O modules on the "In" ports of the MSA (and nothing connected to the "Out" ports of the MSA).
IO Module IO Module +--------+-----------+-+-----------+--------+ | | IN OUT | | IN OUT | | | |+---+ +---+| |+---+ +---+| | | |+-|-+ +---+| |+-|-+ +---+| | +--------+--|--------+-+--|--------+--------+ | | +------+ +-+ | | | | | | +--v----v--+ | | | | | | | HP | |SmartArray| | P800 | | | | | | | +----------+
For multiple MSA arrays, the cabling is somewhat similar:
