Zip ties can be used as makeshift snow and ice chains for tires on all vehicles ranging from bicycles to cars and trucks. The point of the zip ties is that they are able to cut into the snow and shovel it away by using the margin of the zip tie to grip into the ground.

Break and handlebar locks are easy to use on bicycles, scooters and motorcycles where the handlebar and the breaks are aligned. In case the handlebar lock does not fit due to the grips being modified, an easy way to get the lock to work again is to use a Dremel and then sand the inside of the large diameter hole where the handlebar should fit.
