Service Menu & Settings

The service menu allows changing various settings and the menu can also be used to attain the maximal power for this radio (for example, changing the output power from $5W$, which is the usual legal norm, to up to $40W$). In order to access the service menu:

  • turn the radio off from the volume button,
  • hold down the two buttons next to each other, Menu and Mode while turning the radio on,
  • if successful, the LCD test should be observed with all lines turned on,
  • press in quick succession, the buttons RB, NB, SCAN, MEM and EMG,
  • the LCD test should stop and a menu should now be available

Changing settings in the menu can be done by selecting the setting from the menu using the frequency button and then holding down PTT on the microphone whilst rotating the frequency button.
