Temporarily Magnetize Screwdriver

If you have a metal screwdriver and it has not been magnetized, just rub the metal shaft of the screwdriver against a woolen cloth such as clothing (synthetic clothing may work just as well). The screwdriver will gather electric charge and thereby will generate a temporary magnetic field; at least until the charge runs out and enough to lift a screw.
