One of the problems of video editing with Adobe Premiere Pro at any version is that the files used will only be referenced by Premiere Pro and when the project file is reopened, the media fiels used for the project might not be available anymore. For that purpose it would be nice to be able to copy the project alogn with all the used media into one single folder. This is actually possible with Premiere Pro, just that the menus are not that intuitive.
To save a project and also create a copy of media files to a separate folder such that everything is available when the project is loaded, navigate to File
→Project Manager…
and then select all the video clips in the Sequence
section (1), then select Collect Files and Copy to New Location"
(2), select a destination folder where all the files will be saved (3) and then finally click OK
. All the files and the Adobe Premiere Pro project file should be placed into a subfolder named after the project inside the Destination Path
folder (3).
