The 8807 foldable UAV is a Chinese entry-level drone, packed with features, at a very affordable price (~ USD 40) and just ripe for modifications. Compared to competitors that usually advertise a 7 minute flight time, the 8807 UAV boasts a 10 minute flight time right out of the box.

Overall, the 8807 flies wonderfully provided low wind speeds and is a great entry level drone. It packs a bunch of features, including altitude hold (latitude hold?!), headless mode and is very responsive to commands.

• Perhaps the most annoying design flaw is the landing gear that is made out of four foldable struts: they are made out of brittle plastic, they are easy to break, easy to distort. . .
• Never underestimate the influence of wind! Just a gust of wind can make for a very nasty experience, especially for beginners that cannot adapt quickly enough.
• The 8807 has a camera without a gimbal device - flying around will make the recorded video bounce a lot.
