in order to monitor the hardware sensors on Mac devices running Linux.

Reboot on Linux

In order for Linux to be able to reboot a Mac, the reboot parameter must be set to pci. This can be accomplished by editing either /etc/lilo.conf and adding:

append=" reboot=pci"

Or, for grub, edit /etc/default/grub and append reboot=pci to GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT:

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="reboot=pci"
