About

The Indivision Graphics Adapter is an Amiga addon that consists of a flicker-fixer and a scan-doubler with which you can achieve higher resolutions and thereby use the full colour palette for your Workbench. This tutorial summaries the set-up required in Workbench in order to attain a resolution of 800x600 that is fast enough for a pleasant experience.

Requirements

Installing and Configuring the Indivision

For the Indivision configuration, perform the following steps:

  • Install the Indivision and its software in Workbench,
  • Extract the SuperPlus package and place the monitor files (SuperPlus and SuperPlus.info) in DEVS:Monitors/.
  • Open the Indivision configuration tool from SYS:Prefs/Indivision and load the SuperPlus.conf file from the SuperPlus package.
  • Do not change anything in the Indivision configuration tool but instead go to the menu and select Tools→Reflash all and wait for the cores to be flashed.
  • Exit the configuration tool and select Save.

Configuring the Screen Mode

Next, configure the SuperPlus monitor:

  • Open the ScreenMode preferences from SYS:Prefs/ScreenMode and select the SUPERPLUS:High Res Laced item and click Save.

Get Rid of The Banner

The Indivision displays a banner by default that shows up on the screen advertising the screen mode. In order to disable the banner, load the Indivision preference tool from SYS:Prefs/Indivision and go select the menu item: Config→OSD→Disable. You can reflash the cores too now from Tools→Reflash all and then exit the tool whlist selecting Save.
