There are two interchangeable variants of the joke module for Corrade Eggdrop that cannot coexist: the first module uses an endless notecard system to store the jokes and the second module uses Corrade's built-in SQLite database support.

The SQLite database based joke module has a few extra features that are not available for the notecard variant:

• the joke length can be much larger than 255 single byte characters - which is the limit of a notecard line that can be read by a script,
• jokes can be added and removed via group commands,
• tracks the users that have added jokes and displays their names along with the joke,
• allows separate joke sets for multiple groups
