About

Fish! is a free, OpenSouce, yet competitive game that everyone can install in their homes in order to fish. Scores are localized both in-world, local to the simulator that the game is installed on and global top scores can be found on the scores page.

In contrast to competitors, Fish! uses real fish and real weapons - and any weapon with physical damage can be used (included is a javelin and a popgun) such that you can use them underwater, say, for underwater fishing. As the farming component, Fish! has something we call the "[WaS-K] Fishulus" that periodically rezzes mods and creatures that alter the behavior of the rezzed fish as well as restocking the fish that will be rezzed.

The "[WaS-K] Fishulus", at the current version, contains the following mods:

The "[WaS-K] Fishulus" also contains two Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) that have been tagged as Paul and Maggie:

Maggie - Maggie is an evil spacecraft with red thrusters and dish-shaped that wanders around on the Fishulus and destroys any mods that it touches.

Paul and Maggie have regular dogfishts on the Fishulus and you can even touch them to destroy them in order to protect your mods.

Installing and Playing

To install the game, rez the "[WaS-K] Fishulus" item and the "[WaS-K] Fish Nest" somewhere barely at the level of water. Then equip the "[WaS-K] Javelin" and hold down the left mouse button to release a javelin and attempt to hit one of the wandering fish. Fishes are on a timer and it takes an average of 60s to be killed. If you manage to hit a fish in that time, the fish will slowly fall to the bottom of the sea and you have to touch the fish to collect it. Once you collect it, the "[WaS-K] Fish Nest" will register your score and it will appear on http://fish.grimore.org as well.

The games comes with 30 pre-installed fish and once they are consumed, you will have to touch either a "Lil' Chubby" or a "Wormington" on the Fishulus in order to replenishing the "[WaS-K] Fish Nest" with 10 more fish. A fish will only get consumed when it is killed by an agent. The "[WaS-K] Fishulus" will only rez 10 mods in total, so you can manage your mods by touching and consuming them to make place for others. Note that "Lil' Chubby" and "Wormington" restock by 10 fish, but that their effects are cumulative such that you can click them multiple times and the effects will stack.

All effects from the "[WaS-K] Fishulus" will stack.

Provided are two weapons:

You are free to use any weapon with Fish!, the weapons will be registered on scores page.

Fish are rezzed from the "[WaS-K] Fish Nest" in a 10 meter range at the level of the nest. They are rezzed with a value attribute, ranging from 1 to 5 starts which represents how much the fish is worth. You will find that 5 star fish are more difficult to kill than 1 star fish because they will move faster.

Since fish games are designed for traffic generation, Fish! will also register the simulator name on scores page along with the number of fish killed in that region.

Description of The Build

The fish nest is placed either in the water or at the level of the water - fish will be rezzed on the median plane intersecting the nest. The nest could very well be placed underwater:

Although the nest tracks local scores, it is not important to place the nest where it can be seen due to the fact that he scores page globally tracks scores and players. The fish nest contains the nest script along with the fish:

Fish contain the critters script placed in an invisible surrounding sphere, along with the password notecard and the gossip notecard. This is due to the way llLookAt is designed, to point its positive $z$ axis in the direction of movement (for further information see wanderer). As the fish wander, the Fishulus will affect their properties:

Every mod on the Fishulus contains a fishmod script that displays the current stock and can be touched in order to alter the properties of the fish. The two aliens Paul and Maggie contain the paul and the maggie scripts and when they reach close to the mods they either restock or consume the mods respectively.
