The MAAT tank is an 510 compliant atomizer created by VooPoo.

Adjustments

Here are some DIY adjustments to make the Voopoo MAAT tank better.

Fixing the Leaks

A rubber washer can be added to the bottom part of the threading that connects the bottom cap with the tank.

More pressure will be required when screwing on the bottom part to the tank but a rubber washer will have the effect of pressing against the bottom glass part of the tank and the bottom cap thereby hopefully offering a better seal between the components. This is based on the fact that the VooPoo tank tank disassembles by effectively pushing the glass tank downward such that it is highly likely that the glass part does not press too well onto the bottom part of the atomizer.

Making Refilling Easier

The upper part of the MAAT tank that is responsible for refilling is atrociously poorly designed with a thin membrane providing just the sufficient pressure such that the cap itself can be screwed onto the tank without popping off. Furthermore, only two membranes are provided with the tank such that the whole atomizer is cursed from the start and the clock is ticking, especially given that the producer expects you to take the membrane off and then put it back on after a refill. Assumingly, the membrane was designed this way due to pre-made vape juice being distributed in containers with very small drips, close to syringe needles but if you are going to create your own vape mixes, you are going to get very bored waiting for a viscous substance to drain through a syringe needle (and it's impossible in most cases).

A barbaric yet effective solution is to simply cut out the refill holes properly with very small pedicure scissors. In the image above, the left membrane has had both its refill holes cut out, compared to the original replacement on the right. Fortunately, the cap presses sufficiently tight against the tank such that there will be no leaking or dripping at the top part of the vaporizer even after this intervention.
